Thanks for the compliments on the website. Word Press is easy to use once it is set up. The software needs to be installed on your server (thanks Ian!). With the Word Press software installed you can run your site essentially as a blog. This particular template is the most suited for a church type website (because of the options of a custom banner, side navigation bar etc). It’s dead easy once it’s up and running. Of course there are little tricks and things to get a handle on, but compared to developing a website from scratch they’re nothing. Also, the blog format keeps the front page changing, so visitors may feel inclined to check up on things. Most web hosts are familiar with Word Press, so it may be even easier for you than it was for us, since neither Ian or I had done this sort of thing before.

I have links to St Bees as my my gg grandparents Fanny Ferguson and Andrew Leeson married and lived at St Bees c1860. Would love to hear from anyone with connections to the two families. I have not been able to make contact with any Fergusons. Can anyone help?
