There are many people that work to keep the church tidy or welcoming even though they may not get much attention for all their effort. The wonderful thing about the Christian faith is that it gathers up all these various activities and allows us to offer them as an act of true and spiritual worship, if we will it. There are many people who perhaps say, “I don’t have anything to contribute to the church,” but that simply isn’t true. All of us have something we can contribute. The Friends of the Priory do a lot of work to support and maintain the church. Without the ground keepers and the church cleaners, for example, it wouldn’t take long for the Priory to become singularly uninviting and run down. There are many people involved in editing and photocopying the Parish notice sheet, and the Parish Magazine as well. There are others who paint what needs painting or who are diligent in picking up litter. All of it is important.
