Parish walks
Parish walks happen on occasional Sundays in summer. We meet somewhere in the Western Lakes, walk, have a cup of tea, attend evening worship in a nearby church and then go to a pub for supper. The walks are usually about 4 – 5 miles long, without too many hills, – the aim is relaxed enjoyment of our surroundings and of each other’s company, rather than very strenuous exercise. Those who walk are not obliged to worship and those who would like to join us for worship and supper are not obliged to walk. We aim to begin our walking season in April.
